Foster Parent Application

Thank you so much for your interest in foster parenting with PET Projects; to be a part of helping a formerly homeless, abandoned or neglected dog or cat be adopted to a loving forever-family is an amazing feeling for an animal-lover! AND, it's fairly easy to do! PET Projects is responsible for placing each pet, advertising, screening and approving potential adopters, and covering all costs of care. All a foster parent must commit to is providing a safe and loving environment for their foster friends, sending information and pictures to the Foster Care Coordinator to help with advertising and general record keeping, hosting meet-and-greets with approved adopters, and occasionally arranging or providing transportation to and from the vet or our Adoption Fairs. Foster parents can accept or refuse any placement for any reason, or ask for a transfer if an animal isn't a good fit for your family or home. And each foster parent will receive a packet that contains all the information and resources you'll need!

In order to be considered as a foster parent, you must: have the knowledge and consent of all members of the household; be 18 years of age; provide your landlord’s name and phone number (if applicable); and provide personal (1 family member only, please!) and veterinary references. The Foster Parent coordinator may also call to request a home visit to meet your family and pets, and to provide training. PET Projects will process your application thoroughly and thoughtfully, and contact you to let you know if you have been approved.

We are committed to providing the best possible care for our foster friends. Thanks in advance for your cooperation with this process!
